How the world's favourite flange spray-out shield just got better.
The shear strength of our existing Hook & Loop Velcro connection was already way in excess of the shield’s process requirements.
But we decided to go one very big step further, introducing Hook & Mushroom technology.
Visually it looks and works in the same way. It opens easily (vertically), but you just try pulling the shield open laterally. Shear strength goes from 196N to 613N.
Flange shields are only as strong as their weakest parts.
Admittedly our PTFE coated glass thread was already best-in-class but we decided to go one step further.
Our game-changing new all-polymer pure PTFE thread brings it in line with the ETFE external band and internal multi-layered mesh.
We have taken the opportunity to make some small adjustments to the multi-size range to include some of the less common flange sizes but have done so in a way that does not cause any disruption.
The new sizes range will always cover flanges from the older range.
